El Foro de Escritores es un proyecto literario chileno iniciado a fines de 2003 en Santiago por varios poetas y artistas, entre ellos Gubbins, como réplica deliberada del Writers Forum fundado en los años 1950 por el poeta y artista británico Bob Cobbing en Inglaterra. Su objetivo es ofrecer un espacio gratuito de trabajo; un taller para el encuentro de poetas y artistas de enfoques diversos, pero a quienes convoca la experimentación con la palabra y la voz. Se dice experimental en cuanto pretende fomentar la tolerancia y la exploración. No se trata de un colectivo ni una institución. No hay dirección ni manifiestos. El Foro tiene vida porque cambia, oscila, surge y decae constantemente. Su carácter, méritos y defectos son los de quienes asisten a sus sesiones. Una pequeña editorial artesanal ha publicado algunas de las obras exhibidas en las sesiones del taller. La Colección Foro de Escritores supera la decena de títulos.
Foro de Escritores is a Chilean literary project started in late 2003 in Santiago by several poets and artists, including Gubbins, as a deliberate replica of the Writers Forum founded in the 1950s by the British poet and artist Bob Cobbing in England. Its objective is to offer a free work space; a workshop for the meeting of poets and artists of diverse approaches, but who are all interested in experimentation with the word and the voice. It is said experimental inasmuch as it aims to promote tolerance and exploration. It is not a collective or an institution. There is no address or manifests. El Foro has life because it changes, oscillates, emerges and decays constantly. Its character, merits and defects are those of those who attend its sessions. A small craft publisher has published some of the works exhibited in the workshop sessions. The Writer's Forum Collection exceeds ten titles.
